Troubleshooting Windows Analytics – Update Compliance onboarding – Mobile-First Cloud-First

When trouble shooting why the Windows devices not getting into Windows Analytics – you need to know where the data is stored in the device.

Here is some steps to troubleshooting:

  • Check that you have used the right CSP – and the right data type
  • ./Vendor/MSFT/DMClient/Provider/MS DM Server/CommercialID

    Check that your CommercialID is the right one – check in http://mms.microsoft.com

  • Check that telemetry is not disabled on the device
  • Check that there is not a error while deploying the policy – both from the Intune side and the client side
  • Check the right value in the local reg database
