This Friday SCCM 1604 is released:

• Windows Store for Business integration – You can now manage and deploy applications purchased through the Windows Store for Business portal for both online and offline licensed apps. You can also view a video walkthrough of this feature.
• Passport for Work policies – You can now deploy Passport for Work policies to domain-joined Windows 10 PCs managed by the ConfigMgr client as well as mobile devices managed by Microsoft Intune.
• On-premises Health Attestation Service integration – You can now configure devices that cannot connect to the cloud-based Health Attestation Service to connect with the on-premises Health Attestation Service instead.
• VPN for Windows 10 – You can now deploy VPN profiles with 3^rd-party providers to Windows 10 devices managed with ConfigMgr client. These providers include Pulse Secure, F5 Edge, Dell SonicWall, and Checkpoint.
• Software Updates Compliance dashboard – You can now use this dashboard to view the current compliance status of devices in your organization and quickly analyze the data to see which devices are at risk.

Wait for the Configuration Manager Technical Preview 1604 is downloaded.

Click install Update Pack

Click Next

Click Next – In a production environment always select a PreProd collection for Client update

Click “I Accept ..”

Click Next

Click Next

Click Close

And check the CMUpdate.log to see when the upgrade is finish or check the Site Servicing Status:

After end Upgrade start the ConfigManager Console to auto upgrade it.

Click ok

Click Yes to the UAC dialog – then the Console is upgrading.

News in SCCM TP 1604 – first look:

• ConfigMgr can manage and deploy applications purchased through the Windows Store for Business portal for offline licensed apps. You can also view online licensed apps in this technical preview. View a video walkthrough of the Windows Store for Business feature.
• After updating to System Center Configuration Manager Technical Preview 1604, the SMS_BUSINESS_APP_PROCESS_MANAGER component on the site service is not reinstalled by Site Component Manager.  This prevents on boarded applications from the Windows Store for Business from appearing in the Configuration Manager Console.

• We added a new item to Client Settings called “Client Cache Settings”. Use this to configure the client cache size as a percentage of overall disk space and megabytes.
